Varietal: Orange Wine
Region: California, CA
A blistering example of skin contact winemaking here out of the Sierra foothills in California.
This wine is all about blending varieties to create a visceral, textural representation of Matt Rorick's old oragnically farmed vines. Verdelho, Albariño, Muscat, and Chardonnay find harmony here with varying levels of skin contact and minimal exposure to oxygen during winemaking to preserve the purity of the aromatics.
It's seriously grippy and chewy in the mouth but with ample fruit and florals to back it up. Wicked stuff from the Forlorn Hope team and a must-try for lovers of amber wines from around the world.
