Renzaglia 2015 Mount Panorama Estate Shiraz (750ml)Renzaglia Wines
We left the grapes on the vine for as long as possible finally picking 2.75 tonnes on 20 April, 2013. The grapes were crushed lightly leaving about 10 % whole berries and transferred to an open fermenter. After about 24 hours, 200 litres of juice was bled off of the must to make Rose and increase the skin to juice ratio of the remaining must. After 8 days the fermentation was complete and the wine was lightly pressed with a basket press before spending 8 months in about 30 % new and 70 % old French oak barriques. The wine was blended and filtered shortly before bottling in late August, 2014. A total of 110 cases were made.
